Internal Examination
Monitoring and evaluation of learning of students by way of Unit tests and Term examinations is implemented for the students. It is also includes Pre-Board Examinations for Board Classes.
Necessary actions such as conduct of extra classes, remedial classes with personal attention are decided based on the analysis outcome. Performance of student is communicated to parents during monthly PTM.
Guidelines
- Regular classes will be held after each unit test and no holiday will be observed in between the test other than school prescribed holidays.
- No re-test will be conducted at any level.
- Absentees other than those on medical grounds will be marked absent in pen and paper test and no grades/marks will be awarded.
- Leave on medical ground will be granted only getting it sanctioned in advance along with medical certificate & medical fitness certificate should be submitted while rejoining the school.
Updated Examination Structure
- Periodic Test: Twice a year | Classes I to X: 20 Marks
- Class Tests: After every lesson
- Summative Assessment: Twice a year
- Classes I to VIII: 80 Marks
- Classes IX & X: 80 Marks (except Elective group subjects – 100 Marks)
- Class X: Two Pre-boards
Evaluation and weightage for Final Results
First Summative Assessment (50%) + Second Summative Assessment (50%) = 100%
External Examination
At New Horizon World Academy, students are exposed to variety of renowned and distinguished Examinations like Olympiads, Quizzes, Spelling tests, Vocabulary building tests, Hindi essays etc. These are conducted through-out the year to enhance student’s knowledge and confidence. We have carefully chosen these examinations so that they have weightage for child’s future studies and supplements in present studies.
